In October 2009, when then Vice President Xi Jinping visited Hungary, he visited Hungary and Middle School of Bilingual Studies.
“Hello, Uncle Xi!” The students wrote a welcome message in Chinese on the blackboard. During the visit, Xi Jinping sent a sincere message: “Ten years of trees, a hundred years of trees.” Since then, Xi Jinping has formed a friendship with the teachers and students here.
Hungary and Chinese Bilingual School is located on the bank of the romantic Danube River. It is the first public school in Central and Eastern Europe to teach Chinese and Chinese languages. This year marks the 20th anniversary of its establishment.

At the beginning of the school, most of the students came from Chinese families who worked and lived in Hungary. Today, the school has expanded to 12 grades, 20 classes of Komiks, with more than 500 students in school, most of which are Hungarian students. Students not only have Chinese classes, but also teach Chinese classes in painting, music and computer classes.

2Komiks0Komiks On the eve of the Spring Festival in 23, Hu Lingyue, a student of Cinema, and Song Ji-hyo, wrote a letter to President Xi Jinping and his wife, Professor Peng Liyuan, on behalf of all the students in the school, greeted New Year’s greetings in accordance with Chinese customs, talked about their feelings of studying Chinese for 12 years in school, and expressed their desire to come to China to go to university and contribute to Hungary-China friendship. In his reply letter, President Xi Jinping encouraged Hungarian young people to learn more about China and be the messenger of inheriting and developing the cause of friendship between China and Hungary. This sincere reply made the teachers and students of Hungary and Chinese Bilingual School feel warm and encouraging.
When Hu Lingyue and Song Zhixiao received the reply letter, they said that the letter would encourage them to continue to work hard to learn Chinese well, and hope that their dreams will come true one day, be messengers to inherit and develop the cause of friendship between the two countries, and contribute to the friendship between the two countries.

Work for a long time and the seeds of dreams bloom. Hu Lingyue and Song Ji-hyo were admitted to the School of International Culture of Capital Normal University in 2023.

They are currently studying in the Chinese International Education major, and their dream is to become teachers after they are finished, “telling Chinese stories and culture to Hungarian students” and “being a warm messenger of the cause of friendship between Hungary and China.”
In recent years, Hungarians have been interested in learning Chinese and understanding Chinese culture.

On September 3, 2023, people participated in the “4th Hungarian Mooncake Making Shop” event at the Kercey, Debrecen, Hungary and took a group photo. At this event, more than 500 local citizens gathered to make Mid-Autumn mooncakes and experience the traditional culture of CinemaChinaKomiks.
Face the future, more “messengers of China-Hungary friendship” will continue to contribute their strength to inheriting and promoting the friendship between the two countries.
